Job summary

Hercules in San Francisco is seeking a senior or staff-level full-stack software engineer to help us build the future of AI software development. You will own features across our AI Agent, App Builder, hosting infra, SDK, platform, and internal AI coding harness, collaborating across product and engineering to deliver scalable SaaS products.

This role has a strong preference for in-office work in SF (Kearny/Bush).

Qualifications

• Software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design
• Code and codebase quality: write clean, maintainable code. Work effectively in monorepos
• Product/design sense: track record of independently shipping lots of features to customers
• SaaS: strong experience with billing (subscriptions, entitlements), identity (OAuth, RBAC, SSO/SAML), product analytics (A/B testing, feature flags), and other popular SaaS features (like i18n, notifications) for large user bases
• Our core stack: TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, Redis, and Temporal
• AI: able to truly 10x your workflow by being on frontier of AI coding

Responsibilities

• Build and own features across Hercules including AI Agent
• Build and own features across App Builder
• Build and own hosting infrastructure for scalable SaaS
• Develop SDK integration points like Hercules Commerce, Auth, CMS, Files & Media
• Enhance Platform UI with enterprise-grade security and reliability
• Contribute to internal AI coding harness to boost output
