Job summary

Sift is seeking a seasoned software engineer to advance browser-based data pipelines, in-browser processing, and high-performance visualizations for telemetry data. You will optimize memory, threading, and rendering for demanding hardware datasets, collaborating with backend teams on API design and serialization formats.

You’ll help shape composable UI components that maintain data fidelity and precise timestamps, across the stack from UI to storage to computation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building software for the web with deep platform knowledge
• Strong TypeScript skills and comfort in React-based codebases
• Experience with memory, threading, and data serialization for performance and correctness

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data pipelines that run in the browser using Web Workers and OPFS
• Build interactive visualizations for time-series telemetry, FFT analysis, mapping, and scatter plots
• Solve performance problems by bypassing React render cycles and coordinating worker threads
• Architect composable UI systems for technical users with full data fidelity and high timestamp precision
