Deep Origin Inc. is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to architect and ship the front-end systems behind our operating system for science. You will translate complex scientific workflows into coherent, performant UI while guiding UX decisions and product direction.

You will own frontend architecture, set design system standards, and collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product teams to deliver data-heavy dashboards, multi-step workflows, and visualization interfaces.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production web applications with React, TS, JS, CSS, and HTML.
• Experience owning front-end architecture from design through ship.
• Strong product and UX judgment guiding complex UI decisions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship the front end using React and TypeScript.
• Set front-end technical direction including state management and performance budgets.
• Turn ambiguous product intent into concrete UI direction with cross-functional teams.
• Define UX patterns for navigation, data display, and multi-step workflows.
• Prototype and build production UI for complex scientific workflows and data-heavy interfaces.
• Integrate frontend with backend APIs and distributed services.
• Maintain performance and accessibility as core engineering disciplines.
