Job summary

Circuit is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to build high-quality, user-facing experiences in our core web app. You will shape frontend architecture, mentor peers, and own features end-to-end, balancing UX with technical excellence and business impact.

You will collaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into polished interfaces, leverage Claude Code and Cursor for AI-assisted development, and advocate for performance and accessibility across a modern React/TypeScript stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional frontend or full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Experience operating as a staff or principal-level individual contributor within a collaborative engineering team.
• Experience collaborating with Product and Design to iterate on UX and balance technical/product tradeoffs.
• Track record building AI-powered product surfaces and designing UX around non-deterministic outputs.
• Ability to turn loosely defined product requirements into high-quality, production-ready solutions.
• Proven impact on code quality, developer experience, or frontend practices through example and influence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core user-facing features in Circuit’s web application.
• Translate product requirements and design direction into polished, responsive, accessible UI.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, patterns, and technical decisions with engineering peers.
• Leverage agentic tools (Claude Code, Cursor) across the development cycle and improve tooling.
• Own features end-to-end from implementation through testing, QA, and production release.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for long-term reliability.
• Instrument, monitor, and debug production frontend issues using observability tooling.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and planning sessions.
• Provide code reviews and mentorship to elevate team quality and growth.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to clarify requirements and surface tradeoffs.
• Drive performance, accessibility, and frontend tooling improvements.
• Manage priorities and deadlines while maintaining high execution standards.
