Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior FPGA System Development Engineer for its Aerospace, Defense and Communication BU. You will design and implement SoC FPGA programs, constrain timing and perform design verification while collaborating with digital design, product/test and applications engineers.

You will work across a global, distributed team on multiple projects, supporting lab testing, reviews, and demonstrations, with a bias for action and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical and/or computer engineering is required.
  • Good experience with FPGA and/or SoC programming.

We are seeking a motivated, Senior FPGA System Development Engineer for our Aerospace, Défense and Communication Business Unit. The goal of the FPGA Team is to develop and deploy high-quality FPGA and SoC solutions to internal and external customers. To enable the customers to evaluate and test ultra-wideband products, and ultimately to build their own systems and end-products for multiple applications and market segments. Included but not limited to electronic test equipment, wideband communication systems, and Aerospace & Défense subsystems. The role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, coordination and technical skills who works well in a diverse environment across global team and geographically distributed organization.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement SoC FPGA programs using HDL, IP, and embedded software
  • Constrain FPGA designs and perform timing analysis
  • Perform FPGA design verification using behavioral models

  • Work in a cross-functional team environment that includes close interaction with digital design engineers, product/test engineers and applications/marketing engineers
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical and/or computer engineering
  • Good experience with FPGA and/or SoC programming
  • Motivated and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation, coordination and overall communication skills
  • Has a bias for action and works in collaboration with others to deliver high-quality results
  • Vision to work with leading edge technology and push it forward
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and set priorities for the team to deliver on schedule
Preferred
  • FPGA and/or SoC experience that includes high-speed signaling, electronics design and embedded software
  • Experience with Intel-Altera and/or AMD-Xilinx devices and tools, especially Gigabit Transceivers and high-speed memory
  • Experience with RTL HW programming and digital design in general
  • Experience with C/C++, Python and TCL and software design
  • Demonstrated leading and coordinating teams and/or team members to success #LI-PG1

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $124,721 to $180,602. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
