Job summary

SirenOpt is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer – FPGA / MPSoC & Digital Signal Processing to lead architecture, design, implementation, and validation of high‑performance programmable logic and DSP systems powering our metrology platform.

This hands‑on role requires close collaboration with hardware, software, and algorithm teams to bring up boards, develop RTL, verify timing, and optimize performance, using MATLAB and Python for analysis and modeling.

Qualifications

• End‑to‑end FPGA/MPSoC design experience, from architecture to board bring‑up.
• DSP expertise for real‑time systems and low‑latency data paths.
• Strong MATLAB and Python usage for modeling and validation.
• HDL/RTL implementation and verification, with timing closure focus.
• Hands‑on lab bring‑up and hardware/software integration capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and validation of FPGA/MPSoC DSP systems.
• Develop RTL, modeling, simulation, verification, and testbenches.
• Build and maintain verification environments; validate timing and performance.
• Design DSP pipelines and control loops for real‑time sensing applications.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and algorithm teams; read schematics.
• Bring up new boards, troubleshoot hardware/firmware issues with lab equipment.
• Translate frontier R&D concepts into scalable, manufacturable digital systems.
