Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Foundry Yield Engineer for the San Jose, CA location to drive best-in-class yield across MOSFET foundries and both Discrete and IC products. You will report on technical analysis and project progress with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes process integration, data analysis, and collaboration with R&D and international teams to enable smooth transfer to high-volume manufacturing and continuous yield improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years in semiconductor process engineering.
• Experience in process integration for MOSFETs (Discrete and IC).
• Experience in working with R&D and foundry operations.
• Experience in SPC, control plans and FMEA.
• Strong English communication; international collaboration.
• Spotfire or Extensio experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive best-in-class yield performance across MOSFET foundries in Discrete and IC products.
• Develop benchmarking capability and yield dashboard for benchmarking.
• Ensure smooth transfer to high-volume manufacturing after R&D or foundry transfer.
• Drive reduction in foundry non-conformances and closure when they occur.
• Support yield enhancement and capacity increases with new process or equipment qualification.
• Assist audit activities (internal and customer) when necessary.

Where You'll Work & The Scope

Vishay Siliconix, a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improves efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, automotive, medical, and military applications, is currently seeking a Staff Foundry Yield Engineer.

This position will be located in San Jose, California.

How You'll Help Us Build The DNA Of Tech

As a Staff Foundry Yield Engineer you will contribute to driving best-in-class yield performance across our Mosfet division foundries in both Discrete and IC. You will be responsible for reporting (written and presentations) with technical analysis and project progress updates.

Job Location: This position is located in San Jose, CA

Responsibilities

• Drive best-in-class yield performance across MOSFETS foundries in both Discrete and IC products
• Develop world-class benchmarking capability of yield improvement, including enablement of yield dashboard for ease of benchmarking
• Ensure solid transition and ramp post R&D or foundry transfer to high-volume manufacturing
• Drive the enablement of reduction in the foundry non-conformances with closure when non-conformances were to occur
• Support yield enhancement and capacity increase activities involving new process or equipment qualification
• Support audit activities within the foundry, including internal and customer audit, when necessary

Knowledge And Experience You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering
• Minimum 10 years related experience in semiconductor process engineering, preferably has worked in the world-class semiconductor fab or foundry
• Experience in process integration for both Discrete and IC based MOSFET is preferred
• Experience in working with R&D and foundry operations
• Experience in managing SPC, control plan and FMEA
• Experience in collaboration with international teams and communication (spoken and written) in English
• Fundamental knowledge in semiconductor device and wafer processing
• Fundamental knowledge in statical data analysis and control methods
• Spotfire or Extensio experience is desirable (is a plus)

Pay Range for California Residents: 140,000-170,000
