Staff Field Application Engineer (Automotive)

Micron Technology invites experienced engineering professionals to join our team as a Staff Field Application Engineer. You will build trusted technical partnerships with key customers, lead account-level technology strategy, guide solution design, and help customers optimize system architectures across Micron’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers by providing memory architecture advice, product recommendations, delivering technical training, and developing solutions.
• Regularly visit customers to identify new business, discuss ongoing projects, including areas of concern & future needs.
• Provide customer technical support; serve as the central point of contact during critical issues between customers and factory teams, working with multi-functional groups until issue resolution is delivered.
• Work with internal marketing and development teams to evaluate feasibility of specific new products or features and ensure customer specifications are met.
• Collaborate closely with Sales to develop and execute a strategic plan & track progress to key objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in system design, system test, system validation, and/or memory-focused application engineering.
• Experience with automotive or embedded memories, including LP5x, LP6, UFS, embedded SSD.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an application engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer.

Salary Range

$163,200.00 – $276,800.00 per year.
