Job description

Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Field Application Engineer to lead the deployment and integration of our humanoid robot solutions at customer facilities in North America. The role involves onsite visits to customer facilities, data collection, lab-based simulations, leading the planning and execution demos, managing deployment projects, acceptance testing and leading solution integration. This position requires commitment to maintaining the highest standards, operational leadership, technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and a customer‑centric approach.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the deployment and implementation of humanoid robot solutions at customer locations.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise on‑site Proof of Concept (PoC) and Pilot projects, both short and long‑term.
  • Integrate technical development activities into the overall deployment project, working closely with technical leaders to manage delivery risks.
  • Supervise visits to customer facilities to gather data, assess requirements, and ensure successful integration of robotic systems.
  • Supervise the construction and use of test environments in our lab for reliability and performance testing. Define lab test and site acceptance testing strategies.
  • Lead and supervise product demonstrations in the lab for customers, investors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at expos and industry events, delivering live product demos.
  • Manage and coordinate the testing of different product releases, ensuring timely delivery to customer sites.
  • Oversee solution integration in customer facilities, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Prioritize product data and customer feedback; coordinate implementation of improvements to product performance and deployment efficiency.
  • Prioritize, plan and supervise minor maintenance tasks on robotic systems, including troubleshooting with remote engineering support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and customer support teams to lead optimizations to deployment strategies.
  • Support key go‑to‑market activities working closely alongside our Business Development teams, including customer use case analysis and solution development.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience with leading projects in robotic solutions, automation systems, or related technologies.
  • Hands‑on skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance.
  • Experience managing concept/pilot projects and deployment processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with customers, including senior stakeholders and operations staff.
  • Ability to lead and coach others.
  • Willingness to travel for short‑to‑long‑term assignments at customer and partner facilities across North America with occasional travel to Humanoid HQ and other locations in Europe. Approximately 40% travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in warehouse/logistics automation, industrial robotics or humanoid robotics deployment.
  • Familiarity with software integration and sensor‑based automation.
  • Experience with CAD modeling, 3D scanning, or digital twin technology.
  • Experience with commissioning or acceptance testing
  • Experience with automation business case development.
  • Experience working in complex operational environments
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations and live demonstrations to diverse audiences.
What We Offer
  • Comprehensive health coverage for US‑based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with virtual care and employee assistance resources.
  • Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of PTO (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid company holidays.
