Job summary

HR Green, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Engineer in Houston to join a collaborative team on complex highway and roadway projects.

You will work with experienced engineers to learn, design, and evaluate transportation systems, with mentorship and opportunities for growth. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering, 0–5 years of experience, and proficiency with Word and Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or OpenRoads is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in relevant discipline.
• 0-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team or independently, learning and applying engineering principles and criteria.
• Assist in the plan and design of transportation projects including highway, roadway, and intersections.
• Assist in developing complete roadway plan sets, specifications and reports.
• Conduct field visits as necessary for various projects.
• Coordinate with project team members including CAD designers and other engineers.

What will you be doing?

• Working as part of a team as well as independently in learning, evaluating, and applying engineering principles, standards, and criteria.
• Assist in the plan and design of transportation projects including highway, roadway, and intersections.
• Assist in the development of complete roadway plan sets, specifications and reports.
• Conducts field visits as necessary for various projects.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members including but not limited to CAD designers and other engineers.

What are we looking for?

• A candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in relevant discipline.
• A candidate with 0 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• A candidate with proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• A candidate with knowledge and familiarity in AutoCad and Microstation preferred, knowledge and familiarity with Civil 3D or OpenRoads is a plus.
