ResponsibilitiesLead validation strategy and execution for NVMe front-end features across enterprise SSD productsArchitect and enhance scalable test frameworks to improve automation, coverage, and firmware qualityDrive root-cause analysis of complex failures and establish effective debug methodologies and standard processesDefine and advance validation infrastructure, including automation, CI/CD integration, regression systems, and reporting toolsMentor engineers and collaborate with multi-functional teams to improve testability, influence design decisions, and communicate technical risks Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related fieldExpert-level Python programming skills with experience developing automated test frameworks using libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and Scikit-learnDeep expertise in validation methodologies, test architecture, automation strategy, and verification of firmware or embedded systemsExperience applying AI/ML techniques and generative AI tools to engineering, automation, or failure-analysis challengesDemonstrated technical leadership, strong communication skills, and experience mentoring engineers and driving multi-functional initiativesPreferred QualificationsExperience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and deploying AI/ML solutions in engineering environmentsStrong understanding of SSD storage technologies, including NVMe, PCIe, OCP, NAND, and firmware architectureExperience integrating AI-enabled workflows into CI/CD pipelines for regression management, diagnostics, or test optimizationProficiency in C or Rust for firmware debugging, along with experience in Linux, Windows, Git, and CI/CD environmentsRecord of technical innovation through patents, publications, open-source contributions, or leadership of major engineering initiativesThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$127,000.00 - $215,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
