Job Description

As a Staff Engineer you will be solving complex technical problems impacting thousands of customers. Examples of the problems we are working on include building real‑time systems for operating energy devices, introducing new product lines in our home energy management system, implementing tooling for a multi‑channel sales platform, and scaling and operating cloud infrastructure by introducing a shared Kubernetes cluster in Azure.

What you will do

• Build software that delivers incremental value and improves users' experience while advancing our climate goals.
• Drive stability, architecture and technical vision, fusing cloud‑native microservices, IoT applications, a Salesforce backbone and event‑driven architecture.
• Grow and learn, sharing knowledge of Kafka, graceful degradation, test‑driven development in React, Terraform and more; we will grow together.
• Improve developer tooling, automate testing, load tests and vulnerability scans.
• Steer empathy and understanding; ask critical questions, listen to operations, craftspeople and sales, and balance stakeholder needs to create the best solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experienced in C# or a broad range of languages such as Java and Go.
• Hands‑on experience building cloud‑native applications.
• Comfortable with roughly half of the following technologies: Azure, React, Flutter, Salesforce, Terraform, Kubernetes, event‑driven architectures.
• Clear communication in English, spoken and written. Knowledge of German is a plus.
