Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Engineer Electronics - Mission Processing Engineer in Melbourne, FL. The role requires deep expertise in mission processing, data displays, networks, and crypto, with responsibility for architecture, design, integration, testing and TRL assessments.

On-site position with no hybrid/remote option; travel up to 10% and active Secret clearance or eligibility are required to begin work.

Qualifications

• Must have a STEM degree and extensive engineering experience.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering products and Mission Engineering in Cameo or similar tools.
• Experience in supplier/subcontract management.
• Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work.
• Experience building supplier evaluation criteria and conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection.
• Ability to review supplier development documents and participate in design reviews.
• Active US Government Secret Clearance or eligibility and program access requirements.

• Build supplier evaluation criteria and conduct technical evaluations, documenting results and selection.
• Review supplier development documents and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Engineer Electronics - Mission Processing Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Melbourne, FL and will be based within our office spaces to support the program and business needs. Operating on our 9/80 schedule means you will get every other Friday off. This position has NO Hybrid or Remote work available.

The selected candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing, displays data storage, Networks, CDS/MLS, Crypto and experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements and will be responsible for one or more of the following; interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture, Design and develop computer, network and system models and architectures, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis and collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and conduct Trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) regarding supplier current and future products offerings

Job Responsibilities:

• Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
