Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Staff Antenna Test Software Engineer to join our radar systems team. You will test software architecture for phased array development, lead software integration efforts, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with hardware design to improve test methodologies.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and extensive experience with C++, Python, RF test equipment, and software leadership, with the ability to work under security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with significant experience in software.
• Professional software development in C++ and Python.
• Experience with RF/Electrical test equipment is required.
• Strong software architecture and leadership experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance (SAP preferred).

What You'll Get to Do:

• Test software architecture and development related to phased array testing
• Test software architecture and development for automating test processes and data analysis
• Lead test software development teams across multiple software projects

Basic Qualifications for an Staff Antenna Test Software Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience, or a PhD with 8 years of experience in a STEM discipline.
• Professional software development experience using languages such as C++, Python, etc.
• Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.
• Professional software architecture experience
• Professional leadership experience leading software teams through software development projects
• Leadership experience through mentoring and/or team leadership
• Current Active Secret Clearance with Special Access Program (SAP)
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software development experience with RF and antenna systems
• Test software development experience in a nearfield and/or compact antenna range
• RF test experience and/or antenna test/range experience
• Familiarity with RF and antenna theory
• Professional software development experience using MATLAB

Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
