A leading insurance company is looking for an experienced Staff Engineer specializing in Configuration Management to lead the technical strategy of their platforms. You will design and implement configuration management systems that support high scalability and automation. This role requires deep technical expertise in configuration management tools and infrastructure as code. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science along with relevant experience in cloud platforms. A competitive salary is offered, between $110,000 and $230,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of PaaS and IaaS software development experience.
• 6+ years of system administration experience with Linux and Windows.
• Professional experience in modern programming languages like Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-grade configuration management systems.
• Lead development of configuration management tools and frameworks.
• Mentor engineers on configuration management principles.

Skills

Deep knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)

Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Understanding of Infrastructure as Code

Experience with version control systems (Git)

Programming skills in Python or Go

Education
