Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and evolution of Ambient Perception frameworks across Android, Linux, Windows, XR, automotive, and IoT. You will guide multimodal data collection, secure data delivery, and low-power AI runtimes on Qualcomm SoCs.

Work with a world-class team of engineers spanning hardware, systems, AI, and software to deliver context-aware experiences on power-constrained edge devices, shaping the future of on-device intelligence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of software experience.
Master’s degree with 3+ years of software experience.
PhD with 2+ years of software experience.
2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and evolution of Ambient Perception frameworks and context awareness engines.
Design multimodal data collection, secure data delivery and storage architectures.
Develop low-power AI runtime platforms for edge devices across CPU, DSP, NPU, and GPU.
Influence software architecture across Qualcomm's product portfolio.
