Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Engineer to design, develop, and integrate a real-time Run-Time Assurance (RTA) system for Hivemind and UAV platforms. You will lead trajectory-prediction and aircraft-response modeling, working with C/C++ engineers and flight-test data to deliver reliable software that can fly with Shield AI’s Group 5 UAVs.

You will build Python-based analysis and simulation workflows, validate models with 3DOF/6DOF concepts, and collaborate across algorithms, software, and test

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience or 4+ years with PhD.
• Deep experience in trajectory prediction and aerospace simulation.
• Expert Python skills for analysis, tuning, and testing.
• Proficient in C/C++ production software and debugging.
• Experience with simulation, HIL, and flight-test data.
• Ability to document assumptions and validation evidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, tuning, and validation of trajectory models.

• Evaluate behavior through autopilot interfaces and telemetry.
