Job summary

Trajectory Labs, PBC is hiring a Member of Technical Staff to build a software factory that produces safety data to train, evaluate, and improve AI models. You will work with technical leads on difficult safety and alignment problems, writing production code and building evaluation environments.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to scale reusable tools, agent workflows, and automated tests, while taking increasing ownership as the role grows in a early-stage startup.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building production-grade software for safety-focused AI systems.
• Proven ability to test, debug, and improve reliability in complex pipelines.
• Familiarity with evaluating AI models and safety alignment concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build evaluations, RL environments, and training-data pipelines with production code.
• Write tests, debug failures, and improve reliability across systems built with agents.
• Contribute to a software factory: reusable tools, agent workflows, and automated tests.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to tackle challenging safety problems.
