Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of audio software for automotive infotainment platforms. The role centers on the QNX-based HPC, integrating the audio DSP stack and SoC‑level enablement for multi‑zone playback and voice interactions.

You will mentor engineers, define debugging strategies, and partner with Qualcomm and hardware teams to ensure low‑latency, high‑reliability audio experiences across navigation prompts, calls, media playback, and ADAS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years of embedded software development with focus on audio on Qualcomm/Snapdragon platforms.
• Deep hands-on experience with Qualcomm audio stack: ADSP/QDSP6 and QNX integration.
• Hands-on with QNX software development: resource managers, drivers, IPC, BSP bring-up.
• Strong C/C++ skills across QNX boundaries (HAL, DSP firmware).
• Solid understanding of audio signal chains: codecs, DSPs, routing, latency.
• Experience debugging with JTAG, oscilloscopes, profiling tools.
• Proven technical leadership across hardware/software boundaries.
• Automotive/regulated embedded experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead bring-up and integration of audio subsystems on new SoC platforms.
• Design low-latency, multi-zone, multi-stream audio routing architectures.
• Debug complex audio issues across the stack (latency, synchronization, underruns).
• Enforce automotive-grade quality practices and safety considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware and software vendors.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design/code reviews, set/audio standards.
• Plan technical roadmaps and growth of audio competency.
• Drive root-cause analysis of field/production audio issues.
• Support architecture and roadmap for QNX-based audio subsystem.
