Job summary

Petroplan is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Senior/Staff) to lead the design and optimization of electrical systems supporting critical infrastructure, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.

You will drive Power Innovation initiatives, integrate automation and real-time monitoring, and enhance system reliability while mentoring engineers and shaping engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 15 years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
• Senior: 8 years of engineering experience in related industry; PE License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems for critical infrastructure.
• Drive Power Innovation initiatives with automation, real‑time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systems.
• Apply arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection system practices.
• Provide technical expertise in power distribution and system design for new and upgraded facilities.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through execution with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE and other safety and regulatory standards.
• Analyze system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Mentor and develop engineers; influence standards and technical strategy.
• Other duties as assigned.
