Role Description

Form Energy is building the batteries that will power a reliable, affordable, clean electric grid - and we need an Electrical Engineer to help build the factory that makes them.

You'll own the electrical backbone of our manufacturing facility: from design and permitting through construction and commissioning. You'll work hands-on with manufacturing engineers, equipment vendors, and trade partners to make sure our electrical systems are safe, efficient, and built to last. This is a high-visibility role where your decisions directly shape how a cutting-edge factory comes to life.

This role will be perfect for someone that wants to take a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to drive the successful execution of electrical engineering projects within our manufacturing facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What you'll do:
  • Getting to know our manufacturing systems inside and out, partnering closely with engineers and equipment vendors

  • Leading the electrical engineering function, including managing both in-house teams and outside consultants

  • Building electrical design packages for permitting and construction

  • Running the bidding process for electrical scopes - from technical/commercial evaluation to selecting the right trade partners

  • Keeping construction on schedule and up to Form Energy's quality bar

  • Reviewing designs to make sure they're cost-effective, buildable, and code-compliant

  • Partnering with design managers, manufacturing reps, and other teams to keep everything connected

  • Being on-site at the factory for field construction and commissioning - this is a hands-on, in-person role

What you'll bring:
  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in large-scale commercial or industrial settings (manufacturing, data centers, hospitals, or similar)

  • Solid background in electrical distribution design, including 480V and below

  • Comfort with detailed design of Medium and Low Voltage equipment (switchgear, substations, circuit breakers)

  • Experience working in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) environment

  • Hands-on experience preparing electrical permit drawings and specs

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • A P.E. license

  • REVIT MEP experience

  • Experience responding to field RFIs

Where you'll work:

This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV-an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.
