Job summary

Grayscale Investments is seeking a Staff DevSecOps engineer to oversee DevOps, SecOps, and cloud governance. You will shape infrastructure architecture and partner with engineering, security, and architecture to enable faster, safer delivery.

The role uses AWS, Terraform, Docker, Lambda, and Fargate, with GitLab for CI/CD, and a focus on observability, security, and scalable cloud platforms. Reports to Head of Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure with deep AWS experience.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and serverless architectures.
• CI/CD design and GitLab experience.
• DevSecOps and security automation experience.
• Cloud governance and cost optimization knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Docker, and related IaC tooling.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient software delivery.
• Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices including security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
• Define and enforce cloud governance policies, cost management, and architectural guardrails across the organization.
• Build observability and monitoring solutions that improve reliability, performance, and incident response across all platforms.
• Partner with the security team to ensure ITGC evidence, audit readiness, and control frameworks are in place.
• Accelerate developer productivity through self-service tooling, environment automation, and standardized deployment patterns.
• Ensure high-quality infrastructure delivery through strong collaboration with product, engineering, and security.
• Set architecture standards and technical direction for cloud and delivery, in coordination with engineering leadership.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering.
• Mentor engineers across the organization on infrastructure, cloud architecture, and operational excellence, acting as a leverage point for work you do not personally deliver
