Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector seeks an experienced Staff DevOps Engineer to augment our team. The role supports rapid capability maturation and deployment with automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning, working across Aurora, Morrisville, or Sacramento locations.

The position requires U.S. citizenship and active Top Secret clearance with SCI access, plus extensive IaC and Linux system administration experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for government work.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• CI Polygraph must be current at application time.
• Bachelor's degree plus extensive relevant experience; additional degrees optional.
• Infrastructure-as-code and provisioning tech experience required.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification.
• Linux/UNIX system administration experience.
• Experience in Agile software development; CI/CD experience preferred.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is looking for an experienced Staff DevOps Engineer to augment our team.

This position can be based in Aurora, CO, Morrisville, NC or Sacramento, CA.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and evolving processes and infrastructure to execute programs supporting rapid capability maturation and deployment.
• Integrates development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks.
• Define and implement the build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring standards for the program.
• Ensures implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Work as part of an Agile development team to deliver end-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management framework.
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools using an Agile delivery methodology.
• Create scripts and/or templates to automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
• Work closely with development teams to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system.
• Work together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Develop custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Oversee the company’s security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them with the help of developers.

Basic Qualifications

• United States Citizenship
• Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
• Must have an active U.S. Government CI Polygraph at time of application, current and within scope.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12 + years of relevant experience; 10 years with a Master's; 8 years with a PhD; or 9 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and provisioning technology.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification.
• Administration experience with Linux or related operating systems.
• Experience in an Agile software development framework.
• Experience with at least 1 of the preferred qualifications below.

Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $265,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
