Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an Engineer on the HMS DevOps/DevEx Team to automate tool workflows, configure CI/CD pipelines, and optimize cloud testing environments in support of Hivemind solutions.

You will automate workflows across GitLab, Jira, and Confluence, scale GitLab runner fleets, manage Artifactory registries, and deploy Forge in Azure Gov Cloud while contributing to secure, reproducible build systems for enterprise projects in a fast-paced defense-tech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/CE.
• Strong experience building and scaling enterprise CI/CD systems.
• Expertise in GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runner infrastructure.
• Experience scripting (Bash, Python) and integrating Jira/Confluence.
• Experience with containers and cloud deployments (Azure Gov Cloud / AWS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runners for C++, Python, and Node.js.
• Develop tooling integrations and webhooks to orchestrate release workflows.
• Create Python or Bash extensions for pi-gov harness and secure routing.
• Deploy Forge in Azure Gov Cloud and optimize autoscaling.
• Secure Artifactory registries and BuildKit-based container builds.
• Migrate legacy builds to reproducible Nix environments.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and configuration drift.
