Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator in North Carolina to lead staff development in a long-term care setting. You’ll design education programs, supervise orientation, and ensure adherence to current patient care practices.

The role reports to the Director of Nursing, requires RN licensure and several years of clinical experience, with LTC and educator exposure preferred. Competitive salary ($90k–$105k) plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current patient care practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate staff performance for education.
• Oversee Employee Health Program activities including vaccines and influenza tracking.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Nursing
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach staff current accepted patient care and nursing center practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees throughout their individualized orientation period.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluation and clinically appraise nursing staff performance to identify areas for education.
• Provide oversight to Employee Health Program to include administering and tracking of tuberculosis and hepatitis vaccine and tracking of influenza immunizations for all employees.

Posted Salary Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $105,000.00 /Yr.
