Job summary

Symmetry is seeking a senior Data Scientist for Risk to transform ambiguous questions into rigorous analyses and actionable insights. You will drive risk modeling, experiment design, and AI-enabled analytics across Engineering, Product, Design, and Compliance, with a focus on measurable business value.

You will lead end-to-end analyses, communicate findings clearly, and mentor teammates while advancing the company’s risk strategies and data capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of Data Science experience in a product-focused software company.
• Experience with Risk DS and risk modeling.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; proven use of statistics and experimentation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence.
• Experience leading complex projects with business impact.

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous stakeholder questions into clear, testable analyses and insights.
• Apply statistical reasoning and experimentation frameworks to drive decisions.
• Build risk models and leverage AI to surface product drivers.
• Design and interpret experiments; define success metrics with stakeholders.
• Tell data-driven stories for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Own end-to-end delivery of analyses and metrics for the product area.
