Prealize Health is seeking a Staff Data Scientist focused on Foundation Models to lead development of our next-generation patient trajectory and risk prediction systems. Qualifications

• PhD and/or MS in Computer Science, ML, Statistics or related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience with 4+ years building and deploying ML systems in production.
• Mastery of transformer architectures; PyTorch or TensorFlow mandatory.
• Proficient in Python and distributed computing (PySpark/Spark/SQL).
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development cycles.
• Strong software engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, code quality.
• Ability to translate research to production systems and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of healthcare foundation models.
• Set the technical roadmap for patient risk prediction and trajectory modeling.
• Establish best practices for DL pipelines including self-supervised pre-training and fine-tuning.
• Own ML lifecycle from data processing to production deployment; mentor juniors.
• Collaborate with clinicians to encode domain knowledge into models and work with engineers to deploy with low latency.
• Experiment with novel architectures to keep platform at AI forefront.
• Represent Prealize Health in the ML community.
