Job summary

Walmart in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Staff Data Scientist with a strong foundation in machine learning, information retrieval, and LLMs. You will architect and develop new ML models to enhance Customer Intelligence and Segmentation within Walmart.

Lead data gathering, assess data validity, and synthesize data into large analytics datasets. Apply big data analytics and advanced techniques to drive business insights and scalable solutions across Walmart's data ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with 4 years of analytics experience; or Master’s with 2 years; or 6 years experience in analytics.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Proficiency in Java and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop generative AI LLM-based applications and multi-agent workflows.
• Gather data, assess validity, and create large analytics datasets.
• Apply big data analytics to identify trends and patterns.
• Build and train statistical models and ML algorithms.
