Job summary

Adobe Inc. is seeking a Staff Data Scientist for the Pro Design team in San Francisco. This generalist role requires a strong statistics foundation and the ability to move between analysis, experimentation, and modeling, delivering rigorous, actionable recommendations.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to translate questions into structured analyses, define product metrics, and develop experiments from design to evaluation, including segmentation and predictive modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or a similar quantitative role.
• Strong foundation in statistics and experimentation design with advanced techniques (CUPED, sequential testing, heterogeneous treatment effects).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R) for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design as an embedded data science lead, translating ambiguous questions into structured analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Define and steward core product metrics, partnering with analytics engineering to keep definitions trustworthy and consistent.
• Develop and run experiments end to end and improve experimental rigor across products.
• Build predictive, propensity, or segmentation models, collaborating with applied scientists and ML engineers.
• Build internal data products that leverage AI to scale the team's reach across the organization.
