Job summary

RADAR is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to scale real-time analytics and ML capabilities. You will collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and research to translate data needs into robust pipelines and data models.

You’ll own the data platform's architecture, drive reliability, cost efficiency, and performance, and mentor engineers while delivering measurable impact on RADAR’s data products for retailers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering with leadership and mentoring experience.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and Apache Spark; Python for data manipulation and building pipelines.
• Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or dbt for batch and streaming pipelines.
• Solid grasp of partitioning, SQL performance, and cost/performance tradeoffs.
• Experience building data models for analytics and ML pipelines.
• Experience with data quality checks and unit/integration tests.
• Experience creating analytics solutions with Looker or Tableau.
• Proficiency with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming) with Airflow, Beam, and Python.
• Design data models to support scalable analytics and ML workflows.
• Write and optimize SQL and streaming pipelines in Python.
• Partner with data science, engineering, and product to deliver data solutions.
• Build data products and dashboards to turn real-time data into actionable insights for partners.
• Own the data platform's architecture, standards, and roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and establish standards for reliable pipelines.
