Bloom Energy is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join our Fremont, CA team on-site five days a week. You will design and scale data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions supporting manufacturing and engineering.

The role emphasizes automation, MES integration, and reliable data reporting. The ideal candidate has deep Python and SQL expertise, experience with AWS data services, and a track record leading cross-functional projects through deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and relational database design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models for manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Build and maintain curated datasets and data products for reliable reporting and self-service analytics.
• Develop software tools for manufacturing operations and data collection systems.
• Support MES and manufacturing software, including Ignition Perspective screens and integrations.
• Stabilize data storage, visualization, and analysis of metrology and image data.
• Apply software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and documentation.
