Job summary

Afresh is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the analytics platform within the Data Science and Analytics team. You will evolve data models, pipelines, and governance to serve internal and customer analytics needs, partnering with data engineers, product teams, and data scientists.

You will mentor engineers, drive data quality, and implement scalable, reliable data architectures to support AI-driven insights and billion+ row datasets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a data engineer, analytics engineer, or similar
• Strong cross-team collaboration and communication
• Willingness to learn new domains and take ownership
• Able to design scalable data pipelines and governance processes

Responsibilities

• Own the development of the analytics platform
• Evolve data models, pipelines, and governance for internal and customer analytics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data needs and build extensible models
• Mentor and up-skill other engineers
