Job summary

Erie 1 BOCES is seeking a Coordinator for Staff and Curriculum Development, Differentiated Instruction and Data Analysis to support districts through impactful professional development and instructional leadership.

You will work with the Instructional Resource Team and RBERN, delivering capacity-building training and modeling best practices to enhance teaching and learning aligned with NYS standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NYS Teacher Certification in Social Studies; TESOL K12 or K-6 with Bilingual Education Certificate.
• Three years of full-time teaching experience required.
• Knowledge of NYS Inspires/Portrait of a Graduate and data-informed decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional development and instructional coaching.
• Model effective instructional strategies and support classroom lesson delivery.
• Collaborate with leaders to build capacity and promote system change in teaching and learning.

Job Responsibilities:

This is an 11-month split position between the Instructional Resource Team (IRT) and the Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (RBERN). The Coordinator, Staff and Curriculum Development, Differentiated Instruction and Data Analysis strives to meet the organizational and professional needs of the districts for which (s)he supports. The Coordinator, Staff and Curriculum Development, Differentiated Instruction and Data Analysis will work in conjunction with the Associate Director, Managers, Senior Coordinators, other Coordinators, Staff and Curriculum Development, Differentiated Instruction and Data Analysis and Coordinators, Staff and Curriculum Development, Technology Integration by assisting with building the capacity of all leaders, in and out of the classroom as a means to promote system change of teaching and learning; providing quality, sustained professional development that connects educators with innovative approaches to prepare their students for college and career paths.

Job Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NYS Teacher Certification in Social Studies; TESOL K12 or K-6 with Bilingual Education Certificate.
• Have a strong knowledge of K-6 social studies, civic readiness, project-based learning/assessment, and NYS Inspires/Portrait of a Graduate.
• Three years of full time teaching experience required.
• Additional background should include research-based instructional practices and content delivery on the NYS Social Studies Learning Standards and the K-12 Framework, best practices for English language learners (ELLS), assessment development and the data-informed decision-making process.
• The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, and adult teaching / learning skills.
• The job requires the delivery of professional development, instructional coaching, modeling, and supporting classroom lesson delivery.
• Must have knowledge and practice with technology integration, including educational software products, cloud tools (Google / Microsoft Office).
