Job description

Since 2003, Entrata has evolved from a visionary, student-led startup into a global leader in AI-driven property management technology. Today, we power the industry's most essential operating system, serving owners and residents worldwide through a comprehensive suite of intelligent leasing, payment, and communication tools powered by cutting-edge AI. With a proven track record of sustained growth and a global team of more than 2,200 employees, we offer the rare combination of established stability and high-velocity innovation. Recognized by the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame and the Utah Business Fast 50, Entrata fosters a culture of radical transparency and entrepreneurial energy. At Entrata, we create an environment where different perspectives are valued and respected. Those perspectives challenge assumptions, strengthen our decisions, and raise the bar as we reshape the global living experience through AI-powered solutions.

Entrata’s platform processes sensitive operational data across thousands of property management communities. As Staff Corporate Security Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority driving our detection engineering infrastructure, threat-visibility capabilities, and corporate security roadmap.

This role is designed for a seasoned security engineer who prefers building scalable systems over maintaining status-quo alerts, values true cross-functional alignment with IT, and operates with high autonomy to safeguard digital assets.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain trusted operational partnerships with IT leadership and infrastructure teams to drive shared priorities, joint backlog execution, and aligned security practices.

  • Develop deep operational fluency and manage core workflows across the Corporate Security tool stack.

  • Reduce material corporate security risks across endpoint protection, identity hardening, data exposure, and phishing defense.

  • Establish a scalable and measurable Corporate Security operating model, standardizing processes for intake, alert triage, incident escalation, exception tracking, and leadership reporting.

  • Develop and tune high-confidence alerting mechanisms and automation to reduce noise, close visibility gaps, and optimize incident response efficiency.

  • Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability reviews, and security assessments while producing meaningful metrics, scorecards, and recommendations for executive leadership.

  • Lead the application of security principles and guide the development of long-term infrastructure strategy, alignment, and shared decision-making with IT partners.

  • Design and operate repeatable cadences for security reporting, risk tracking, and continuous process improvement to maintain scalable security operations.

  • Oversee strategically significant projects and global initiatives to achieve milestones in threat detection and incident response.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively by meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate security engineering or information security roles.

  • Direct hands-on experience with core enterprise platforms such as Sumo Logic, SentinelOne, Okta, and Google Workspace.

  • Demonstrated experience creating triage workflows, standard operating procedures, and risk intake processes.

  • Proven success managing vulnerability lifecycles, identity controls, and DLP policies alongside IT stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in enterprise Security Operations Centers (SOC) or specialized detection engineering roles within SaaS or tech environments.

  • Practical familiarity with User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) and integrating threat intelligence into active security workflows.

  • Direct experience securing AI/ML tooling usage while leveraging AI to accelerate operational efficiency.
