Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support forensic consulting and failure analysis projects nationwide. You will participate in field investigations, perform analyses, and prepare technical reports while collaborating with a team.

The role offers growth in a supportive environment with opportunities for advancement and occasional travel; a bachelor’s in EE and EIT/PE licensure are required, with master’s preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • E.I.T. or ability to obtain P.E. licensure required.
  • P.E. license preferred.
  • 0-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, consulting, or related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE and electrical system design.
  • Interest in forensic consulting and willingness to develop expertise in litigation support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with electrical engineering analysis or design software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be available to travel occasionally as part of the national practice.

  • Seeks technical advice and guidance from more experienced consultants.
  • Participates in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Supports Business Development activities as appropriate.

The pay range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer most candidates for this role. Total compensation includes a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity, with final pay determined by job-related factors such as experience, qualifications, individual performance, and overall company performance.

After internal discussions and market research, the current pay band for this opportunity is $80,000 to $110,000.

Physical Demands

This role requires frequently sitting or standing for extended periods of time and occasionally lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, with infrequent lifting up to 75 pounds. The work regularly requires bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and maintaining balance. This position frequently requires handling and operating specialized tools and equipment and working in a variety of physical positions, including occasionally accessing tight or confined spaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
