Point One Navigation is seeking a Staff Computer Vision Engineer to own the full lifecycle of spatial AI and visual navigation features. You will guide camera integration, image processing, and architectural decisions, ensuring production-ready code across devices and environments.

The role emphasizes edge deployment, rigorous benchmarking, and close collaboration with infrastructure and UI teams to render maps, track assets, and maintain high reliability in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional algorithm and software development experience, with depth in CV/robotics.
• Expertise in modern C++ (C++14 or later) and Python, with deployment of AI models to production.
• Experience with ROS1/ROS2, Visual SLAM, 3D reconstruction, and mapping architectures.
• Deployment of semantic segmentation/object detection in real-world environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end research, benchmarking, and selection of CV and spatial navigation methods for 3D maps of large facilities.
• Develop or integrate DL and classical CV algorithms to extract semantic information for overlays on maps.
• Drive real-time localization and multi-agent tracking with low latency on edge devices.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture discussions, strategy, and roadmap.
