Shield AI is seeking a Staff Composites Manufacturing Engineer to own critical manufacturing processes and drive scalable production for a next‑gen jet program. You will deploy capital equipment, integrate tools, and mentor engineers across engineering, supply chain, and production.

You will lead CPD/Fibersim work, define producibility, and partner with vendors to deliver robust production systems while improving throughput and reducing costs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering in rapid-growth environments.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA).
• Experience with CPD, Fibersim, and Generative Shape Design (GSD).
• Experience scaling production processes in startups or rapid-growth settings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing composites processes (machining, lamination, assembly).
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a technical leader across programs, owning the design and optimization of manufacturing processes.
• Drive scale-up of the flagship product line, balancing throughput, quality, and cost.
• Lead engineering efforts for launching a new production line for a larger jet.
• Develop CPD/Fibersim definitions & producibility assessments for composite parts.
• Scope and deploy critical production infrastructure, including equipment and systems.
• Engage vendors to source and integrate capital equipment and automation.
• Mentor engineers and production staff to build capability and depth.
• Champion cross-functional initiatives to standardize manufacturing performance at scale.
