Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Engineering owns the platforms PayPal relies on daily, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and the identity and compliance systems supporting them. The team ensures messaging reliability and that platform controls meet Legal, Compliance, and regulatory requirements. As AI agents increasingly operate alongside employees, it also governs what non-human identities can access and do. This Staff-level role owns the administration and production operations of PayPal's Slack Enterprise Grid environment, supporting tens of thousands of employees across regulated businesses. Responsibilities include assessing apps, agents, integrations, and Slack Connect requests; managing defensible retention and export configurations; responding to service degradation; establishing architecture and platform standards; and building and operating the services and pipelines surrounding Slack-not simply configuring the platform.
