Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Cloud Infrastructure team to architect and scale our infrastructure as we expand globally. You will lead design initiatives across Kubernetes fleets, multi-region disaster recovery, and AI-driven workflows, driving consensus across engineering and defining scalable, self-service primitives for product teams.

The role emphasizes deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and distributed systems, with a focus on delivering resilient, scalable platforms

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of architecting and scaling infrastructure.
Strong understanding that infrastructure empowers developers and end-users.
Deep experience with distributed systems and handling extreme load.

Responsibilities

Design and implement next-generation cloud infrastructure to support 4x load growth.
Own evolution of the Kubernetes ecosystem for monoliths and growing microservices.
Build infrastructure primitives to accelerate product feature delivery.
Tackle high-order problems like global consistency and high-throughput processing.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage complex distributed systems.
