Job summary

Lawrence Healthcare in Walnut Ridge, AR seeks a Staff Medical Technologist/MLS to perform chemical, microscopic, bacteriological, and immunological tests used in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will ensure QC procedures and instrument maintenance are performed and may instruct new technologists, technicians, and students.

The role includes assisting with troubleshooting and requisitioning supplies, reagents, and blood components as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in medical technology and be eligible for ASCP or AMT certification.
• MT path requires bachelor’s degree and ASCP/AMT certification eligibility.
• MLT path requires HS diploma or equivalent + 60 sem hours with specified science coursework and ABHES/CAAHEP training; certification eligibility also required.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, microscopic, bacteriological, and immunological tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure quality control and maintenance are performed as appropriate.
• Instruct new technologists, technicians, and students.
• Assist with troubleshooting and requisitioning supplies, reagents, and blood components.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology

High School Diploma or equivalent + 60 semester hours + ABHES/CAAHEP training
