Job summary

Langan is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join our collaborative team in West Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will assist with planning, design, and permitting of civil, land development, and infrastructure projects, with exposure to mixed-use, residential, education, and federal sites.

The role offers growth opportunities with a strong emphasis on design software proficiency (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 1+ years experience in site/civil design or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• EIT Certification or FE exam registration preferred.
• Prior internship or professional experience in site/civil design incl. grading and storm-water management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with Monday–Friday availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents: reports, specs, plans, schedules, cost estimates, design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.
• Analyze soil, terrain, hydrological characteristics and geologic data for planning and design impact.
• Propose approaches to improve efficiency and quality of services.
• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced mathematics to project tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
