Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to support planning, design, and permitting of civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.

The role offers exposure to site/civil design for mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal projects, and more, with opportunities to grow technical expertise and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Entry to 2 years of experience.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• EIT certification or current registration for the FE exam.
• Prior relevant internship or professional experience in site/civil design, site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with the preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, photographs, and geologic data to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and topography and their impact on project design.
• Recommend new approaches and ideas to continuously improve efficiency and service quality.
• Apply engineering and advanced mathematics techniques.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
