Job summary

d-Matrix in Santa Clara area is seeking a Staff Software Infrastructure Engineer to own the CI/CD automation and release engineering for a complex, multi-environment build/test pipeline. You will design automation to diagnose and fix pipeline failures, classify regressions, and identify flaky hardware or infra issues, while scaling compute and storage across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

What you will bring includes a track record of building automation that measurably reduced toil or time-to-signal in CI, release, or dev-tooling contexts.
Experience in release engineering, including versioning schemes and independent release trains.
Architectural judgment on AI versus deterministic software and compute vs data locality.

Responsibilities

Design and build automation that diagnoses and resolves CI/CD pipeline failures, including regression and infrastructure issues.
Develop automated methods to identify which merges cause failures in long-running test suites.
Architect scalable compute and storage for build and test workloads across cloud and on-prem environments.
Own release engineering practices, including versioning schemes and compatibility matrices.
Reduce developer toil and time-to-signal across product, dev, test, and release pipelines.
Partner with development groups and Quality Engineering to drive adoption of new tooling.
