Qualifications

• 8+ years backend software engineering in fintech/regulated environments.
• Proven leadership in end-to-end design and delivery of complex backend systems.
• Experience with high availability, scalability, and production rollout.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and technical direction for Coinbase's IDV platform.
• Lead platform consolidation by migrating IDV onto a single platform and retire 100+ legacy rules.
• Design and build vendor-agnostic orchestration with real-time routing and failover.
• Scale the platform for new products, regions, and verification modalities with self-serve configuration.
• Drive cross-team technical strategy and define platform abstractions used by multiple pods.
