Job summary

Blue & Co., LLC is seeking an Staff Auditor to join our Southern Indiana practice in Columbus, IN. The role focuses on audits for diverse clients, ensuring timely and profitable engagements through diligent planning and execution.

Key requirements include CPA or working toward, 1–2 years of public accounting audit experience, and excellent communication, detail orientation, and teamwork. Travel locally with occasional overnight stays is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of audit experience with a public accounting firm.
• CPA or working toward preferred.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; demonstrate a high level of technical competence.
• Strong mentorship, leadership and training skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office products / applications.
• Ability to travel locally with occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor engagement status and budget requirements for profitable and timely completion.
• Research technical issues that arise during an engagement.
• Provide risk assessments and recommend controls; Analyze controls environment for non-compliance, fraud, and other risk factors.
• Prepare financial statements, management letters, and detailed reports on audit findings.
• Develop and foster teamwork, innovative thinking, and knowledge sharing.
