Job summary

The State of Connecticut Department of Public Health is seeking a Staff Attorney 2 to review, negotiate, and present cases involving licensed healthcare entities. This role allows you to impact the quality of health care for Connecticut residents and to support the CON program.

Based at 410 Capitol Avenue in Hartford, this full-time position involves legal research, drafting determinations, and representing the agency in hearings. Travel may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in the practice of law.
• Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
• May require travel.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and present cases involving licensed healthcare entities.
• Support the Certificate of Need (CON) program; review CON applications and submissions, conduct legal research, draft determinations and decisions, oversee compliance, and participate in hearings.
