Job summary

Young Life Capernaum San Jose is seeking a full-time Staff Associate to join our urban ministry team. You will participate in direct ministry, lead outreach efforts and help develop a strategic plan to reach adolescents with the Gospel.

The role requires experience in ministry, strong relational and communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. Training and housing considerations may be discussed with the Area Director.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct ministry.
• Proven relational skills with kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in ministry activities and camps as part of the Young Life Capernaum program.
• Develop and execute a yearly ministry plan in collaboration with staff and area leaders.
• Recruit, train and support volunteer leaders and team members.
• Engage with schools, churches and community partners to expand outreach and fundraising.
• Uphold Young Life policies and maintain professional communication and stewardship.
