Job summary

Young Life in Chicago, IL seeks a Staff Associate I to support ministry through training and hands-on field experience, focusing on spiritual development, leadership development, and resource development.

You will develop a yearly personal growth plan, recruit and train volunteer leaders, lead clubs and Campaigners, plan fundraising events, and participate in summer camping assignments. College degree preferred; starting salary is $35,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct ministry.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Recruit and train new leaders to build a leadership team.
• Plan and execute area fundraising events under the direction of an area supervisor and committee.
• Plan and conduct a Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry with excellence.
• Lead a team to implement a summer and school-season camping strategy.
• Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year.
• Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures and maintain professionalism.
