Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field required.
  • 0–3 years environmental consulting experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain professional licensure within five years.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to authorize driving record review.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical reports, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Conduct environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and permitting.
  • Perform statistical analysis of laboratory data.
  • Assist with ASD, ACM, and CAP preparation.
  • Prepare geologic maps and cross sections.
  • Observe monitoring well and methane probe installations.
  • Log and classify rock core.
  • Collect groundwater, surface water, soil, and sediment samples.
  • Maintain field logs, QA/QC documentation, and instrumentation.
  • Assist with project coordination and client communication.

Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious, driven early-career professional who is eager to build a meaningful career in environmental consulting. This role offers hands‑on exposure to diverse projects across environmental, civil, geotechnical, geostructure, and construction materials testing disciplines, with a strong emphasis on groundwater compliance and environmental work that directly impacts clients and communities. You will work side‑by‑side with experienced engineers and geologists, gaining real‑world field and office experience, developing technical expertise, and progressing toward professional licensure in a supportive, growth‑oriented environment. The position is intentionally designed to provide variety and accelerated learning, with approximately 60% office‑based technical reporting and up to 40% fieldwork supporting active projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 0–3 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Experience with contaminant transport hydrogeology preferred.
  • Ability to obtain professional licensure within five years.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to authorize driving record review.
  • Ability to travel throughout the southeastern United States (up to 20%).
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare technical reports, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Conduct environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and permitting.

Client Relationship Management
  • Begin to understand the importance of client satisfaction.
  • Assist in clear and concise communication with clients regarding project updates and data, always under the guidance of senior sta. Learn how to maintain professional demeanor and build rapport.
Quality Control and Assurance
  • Adhere strictly to company and project‑specific quality control procedures. Assist in reviewing data and reports for accuracy and completeness, learning the principles of quality assurance in a consulting environment. Prepare and maintain accurate field documentation, including field logs, chain‑of‑custody forms, and daily reports
    Working Conditions.
Project Planning and Scheduling
  • Contribute to the development of project work plans and schedules by assisting with task breakdown and resource allocation. Learn to track personal progress against project timelines and communicate potential delays to project managers.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work effectively as a supportive team member, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, geologists, and scientists from various disciplines to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. Learn to contribute to a positive and productive team environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Performance Analytics
  • Learn to track and report on individual project progress and time utilization. Begin to understand key performance indicators relevant to the project efficiency and profitability.
Working Conditions
  • Field assignments require working outdoors in variable weather and site conditions.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as part of fieldwork.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management tools.
