Ambiq Micro Inc in Austin, TX, is seeking a Staff Applications Software Engineer, Zephyr, to lead the Zephyr software development for Ambiq SoCs. You will port to Zephyr, enable hardware evaluation platforms, stay current with Zephyr changes, and ensure SoC compliance while optimizing power usage.

The role works with the Applications Engineering Team and the global MCU software team, requiring fast learning, problem-solving, and hands-on debugging in embedded systems.

Formación

• MS in ECE or Computer Science with 6+ years' experience, or BS in ECE/CS with 8+ years, Zephyr focus.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M processors.
• Experience with C and assembly for MCU.
• Experience with MCU peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, and USB.
• Experience with MCU IDEs (ARM, Keil, IAR, Eclipse, Ozone).
• Security, Bluetooth, Matter/Thread, or ML in Zephyr is a plus.
• Hands-on lab debugging with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and source control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Scripting languages (Python) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development, testing, and maintenance of Ambiq Zephyr offering including samples, drivers, and software testcase development, as well as hardware enablement.
• Take a key role in Ambiq Zephyr repository processes and maintenance, including CI/CD.
• Manage Ambiq Zephyr issue status tracking, debug, and resolution.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to analyze and debug complex system level issues and develop software solutions.
• Focus on demonstrating Ambiq’s low-power advantages to the greatest extent possible within the Zephyr ecosystem.
• Create application notes and software guidelines.
• Support applications and field engineers, and key customers as needed.
